I am just leaving the SES 2008 conference in NYC; and although the conference was great, one think I was disappointed in was the lack of Smart Cars in the city. I never even saw one the entire week I was there. I thought the city would be ripe with Smart drivers but maybe they are in the same boat as me and they are eagerly awaiting their configuration email.

Cool Site! Problem with cars in Manhattan (yes, it would be smart to use them -no pun intended) is it can cost $500 A MONTH AND UP for a garage. Living in NYC and having a car are not pratical. Cheaper to rent one on a weekend if you need it, and then return it. Just way too much to park. Also, fining a "spot" on the street is nearly impossible.Good Luck with the car. I have seen tons of them within Europe. Even picked one up with a few buddies and turned it around in the parking spot as a joke. Owner laughed and took it in stride.
Thanks Jack! Wow that $500 a month kinda offsets the gas savings! Can't wait to get mine..but I am hoping no one tries to pick it up and carry it off. :)
i meant to tell you when you were in that i was drooling over the smart car dealership in venice, ca. i saw it back in jan and even took a photo of the smart car on the roof.
Hektik - can't wait to see what the dealership in Buffalo looks like. Hopefully as cool as the one you described. I will have to try and check it out the next time I'm in LA.
